History

Date Posted to GIS:
2002
  • 2002: Hardcopy maps depicting the location of Federal Indian Reserves for lands within the jurisdiction of the District of North Vancouver were obtained from the Office of Indian and Northern Affairs Canada in 2002.
  • 2002: These hardcopy maps were then digitized into the GIS. Boundaries were then snapped to the location of property pins so that the Indian Reserve boundaries edge matched the District's cadastral information.
  • 2011: Updates were made on the Seymour Creek Reserve as per updates to the Indian Reserves. Data obtained from NRCan.
  • 2015: Data published by the Government of Canada - Natural Resources Canada. Provide the administrative boundaries (extent) of Canada Lands which includes Indian Reserves. Administrative boundaries were compiled from Legal Surveys Division's cadastral datasets and survey records archived in the Canada Lands Survey Records.
